FAQ

Unique Identifier for Companies

Understanding how Proff Connect uniquely identifies companies across Nordic countries.

What is the Unique Identifier?

The unique identifier is a national registration number assigned to each company by the respective country's business registry. In Proff Connect, this identifier is used to accurately match and link company records between Salesforce and the Proff database.

How It Works

When you search for or synchronize a company, Proff Connect uses the unique identifier to ensure an exact match. This prevents duplicates and ensures that the correct company data is associated with the right Salesforce record, even when company names are similar.

Country Differences

Each Nordic country uses a different format for company identifiers. Norway uses the organization number (organisasjonsnummer), Sweden uses the corporate identity number (organisationsnummer), Denmark uses the CVR number, and Finland uses the Business ID (Y-tunnus). Proff Connect handles these differences automatically.
