A comprehensive overview for both end-users and administrators of Proff Connect.
This guide explains how to use Proff Connect features across the different pages in Salesforce. The components and buttons available may vary depending on how your org has been set up.
Searching for and creating companies
Before creating an Account, use Company Search to find the company in the Proff database. Depending on your setup, this is available either as an override on the standard "New Account" button or as a dedicated button on the Account list view.
- Search by name: Enter a company name to get a list of matches. Select the correct one to see a preview before creating.
- Search by org number: Enter the organisation number directly. Must match the format for the country you are searching.
Once you've found the right company, click Create Account. The new record will be pre-filled with official data from Proff based on your field mapping.
On the Account page
Sync Account Click this button to update the Account with the latest data from Proff. This refreshes all mapped fields based on the current field mapping configuration.
Note
Requires Organisation Number and Country Code to be populated on the Account.
Company Insight Displays a full view of the company including financials, shareholders, ownership structure, roles, subsidiaries, and more. Use the Fetch button inside the component to pull the latest data from Proff.
Related Contacts Shows a list of people with official registered roles at the company (General, Signatory, and Procuration roles). Click on a person to create a new Salesforce Contact directly from the list — pre-filled with their professional data and linked to the Account.
On the Contact page
Sync Contact Updates the Contact with the latest data from Proff based on your field mapping.
Note
Requires Proff Person ID and Country Code to be populated on the Contact.
Contact Insight Displays the person's professional profile including their roles in other companies, industry associations, and professional connections. Use the Fetch button to get the most up-to-date information.
On the Lead page
Enrich Lead Fills in missing company details on the Lead using the Organisation Number or Company Name. The Country Code must be set on the Lead before enriching.
Once enriched, fields like address, industry, revenue, phone, and email are populated automatically based on your field mapping.
Bulk Create
Bulk Create is available in the Proff Connect app and allows you to search and filter Nordic companies to create multiple Accounts or Leads at once.
- Filter by country, industry (NACE codes), company type, region, revenue range, number of employees, and more
- Results are shown 500 at a time
- Review the list, optionally fill in additional fields (if Field Sets are configured), then create all or selected companies as Accounts or Leads instantly
Note
Bulk Create is typically used for prospecting — building targeted lists of companies that match your ideal customer profile.
